Avatard... and other reviews.

Am I the only person on the planet who does NOT want to see this movie? I am sure it's fine and dandy in it's epic portrayal of blah blah..... Blue half naked aliens... Military rednecks trying to kill said half naked aliens... Oh wait, I just leaked out my Anus... And on that note...

I did go see the movie Legion though. I didn't have very high expectations but had thought it was fairly well done. Though it had a feel of being a "Constantine" light. I thought Drag Me To Hell was well, a joke. That is until I realized it was directed by Sam Raimi who directed the Evil Dead trilogy, which was brilliant. I felt he was trying to recapture his success of that series and it ended up in an epic Fail.

Jackie Chan's new movie looks cute, I wanted to see that one but figured that Dot wouldn't want to see Legion with me so I waited for her to come back to town and go see it with me.

Nope. I don't want to see it either. Too overhyped. I remember Napoleon Dynamite, and everyone had a stiffy over it, when I finally saw it, it turned out it sucked. I think it's going to be the same way for Avatar. I've heard it's Dances with Wolves in space anyway. I liked Constantine however, so I might have to check out Legion. Also I've heard Jackie Chan's new movie, despite being Jackie Chan is so goofy as to be just dumb.

I have seen previews for it, and it looks like it's done in the style of Vindiesel in the babysitter or whatever. Except the kids don't know (in the beginning) that he is a super secret spy dude. I think it's geared more towards the younger audience. I think I might go see it out of "Fanboy" status etc. I would have to agree with you though and say it doesn't look to be one of his greater flicks.

I don't ever plan on seeing Avatar in theatres. I might rent it if I ever get around to it, but otherwise, too much hype.

Also! http://failblog.org/2010/01/10/avatar-plot-fail/

I found it funny.

Honestly the only motivation for me to even want to go see the movie in the theater was to have it beat out the movie Titanic with Leonardo D'Craprio. But now that it has already done that then I wont have to.
